Shiv Sena (UBT) Chief Uddhav Thackeray spoke at an event commemorating the birth anniversary of former PM Rajiv Gandhi, where he mentioned that his father, Bal Thackeray, used to criticize Rajiv Gandhi without facing investigations by enforcement agencies. Thackeray made these remarks at a Congress party event, where he was joined by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. They highlighted the withdrawal of an advertisement for lateral entry into the bureaucracy due to efforts by party workers. Thackeray criticized the BJP, likening it to poison, and emphasized the need to unite against its dominance. The event was attended by leaders from the MVA coalition, including Thackeray and NCP (SP) Chief Sharad Pawar. Thackeray emphasized the importance of unity against the BJP's power politics, stating that the Congress and Shiv Sena have joined forces in this endeavor. Kharge stressed the necessity for the opposition to gain power in states to counter unfair bills proposed by the BJP.
